"You're grounded."

"Oh, really?" she smiled mockingly, setting the items back down noiselessly and turning to face him.

"May I inquire as to why?"

"Why? You don't think coming home at four in the morning is wrong?" he spat out as his face contorted grotesquely.

"I wasn't aware I had a curfew," she replied cooly.

"You 'weren't aware' - what bullshit," he screeched as spittle sprayed across his clutched newspaper. "You know that that you are to be home by 1:30am, and once again, you conveniently 'forgot'." He slammed the newspaper down for effect and dug his hands into the sides of the chair. "I will not put up with this in my house!"
