last night, we decided to cook a dinner worthy of the 1.5 liter bottle of home ranch zinfandel that we got from the seghesio winery.
the answer?
Chateaubriand Filet (bacon-wrapped, salt & pepper), Mac & Two Cheese with Caramelized Shallots, and Sauteed Brussels Sprouts With Lemon and Pistachios

i miss experimenting with sexy dishes and ingredients, but time and fatigue do not allow right now. looks like i’ll have to wait until summer to begin hardcore kitchen-play again. i still manage to try about one or two new recipes per month. my mom is also on a ‘try new exotic dishes’ kick and she brings us stuff to try from time to time so we’re having fun geeking out with that 🙂
